Our Story

After a frustrating time being turned down for a solar panel installation, due to the nature of his project; an old house with an improbable meter location and an awkwardly shaped roof, Chris, decided there must be a better way and decided to to set up a solar installation business with a 'can do' attitude. He assembled a team of building, solar and electrical experts who shared his mindset and the result is AM renewable. Your partner in sustainable energy where are sole aim is to get you the best results possible.

Meet The Team

Chris Akeroyd

Managing Director

Chris looks after the day to day operations of the business. This covers everything from ordering of stock, ensuring compliance, marketing and the evaluation of new products and service offerings. He has a background running SME buiness in both the UK and Australia and is passionate about renewable energy and helping to protect the environment.

George Maynard

Technical Director

George is our technical guru. His main roles are system design, new product assessment and selection and overseeing our surveys to ensure our customenrs get the optimal solution for their budget. He is obsessive about neatness and prides himself on designing the most aesthtically pleasing and highest performing solutions for your budget

Matthew Storr

Installations Manager

Matt runs our projects and makes sure your installation is completed in a timely and efficient manor. Matt loves to be hands on and whenever his hectic schedule permits, can be found on a roof helping with installations.

Tony Calder

Head of Projets

Tony overseas the electrical side of all our work. He holds BPEC Awards for Solar PV installation and Electricity Energy Storage. He is an NICEIC approved contractor and also holds an HND is Electrcial Engineering.
